FAQs
Q: Do you provide meal plans for children?
A: At Brown Bear, we understand the importance of nutrition in the development of young children. However, currently, we do not provide daily meal plans. This decision is based on several considerations:
Diverse Dietary Needs: We recognize the diversity of dietary requirements and preferences among the children in our care, including food allergies, sensitivities, and family dietary choices.
Family Preferences: We respect that many families have specific desires regarding their children's diets, whether for health, religious, cultural, or personal reasons. By having parents provide meals, we can ensure that each child receives a meal that meets their individual needs and family's expectations.
Safety and Health Compliance: The safety and well-being of your child are our utmost priorities. Food preparation and provision require stringent health and safety protocols, and by focusing on our core services, we can concentrate our efforts on maintaining the highest care standards without compromising safety.
Cost-Effectiveness: By not including meal plans in our services, we can keep our fees more affordable and give parents the flexibility to choose their child’s meals without additional costs.
We encourage parents to pack nutritious and satisfying meals and snacks for their children. Please ensure that meals are labeled, appropriately portioned, and ready to eat. Our staff is always available to assist children during meal times, and we have facilities to store packed meals safely. We also have a strict no-nut policy to protect children with allergies.
If you have any concerns or questions about meal preparation for your child, please feel free to reach out to us. We are here to support you in ensuring your child's nutritional needs are met while in our care
Q: Do you have insurance for your childcare business?
A: Yes, at Brown Bear, your child's well-being is at the forefront of all we do. We've taken every step to ensure our environment is both nurturing and secure. We're proud to be partnered with Markel Insurance, providing comprehensive Liability Insurance coverage for our facility. Rest assured, with us, your child is in safe, capable hands.
Q: Do you provide irregular children care hours?
A: Yes, at Brown Bear, we understand that modern family schedules can be complex and varied. To accommodate the needs of all families, we are excited to announce that our new daycare center will offer extended care hours, including evenings and weekends. Our goal is to provide flexible and convenient childcare solutions that fit the unique requirements of your family's lifestyle. Whether you have non-traditional working hours, need occasional weekend support, or simply require a bit more flexibility, we are here to help.
Evening Care: Recognizing the demands of various work schedules, we offer evening care to ensure your child is looked after in a safe, nurturing environment beyond standard daycare hours.
Weekend Care: For parents who need support on weekends, whether due to work commitments or other obligations, we provide weekend care options that maintain the same high-quality standards of our weekday services.
Please note that our extended hours services may require advance booking and are subject to availability. We recommend reaching out to us as early as possible to secure your spot. For more details on our extended hours, including specific times and any additional fees that may apply, please contact us directly.
